Ramadan is a month to renew your faith. It is the best time to seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

Before you leave the UK for Ramadan Umrah, pause for a moment. Prepare not just your luggage but your heart as well. Make a list of the duas you wish to make for yourself, your family, and your loved ones. This is a spiritual journey.

During such a time, supplication can keep you sincere and connected to Allah. As you plan your Ramadan Umrah Package, take time to understand the meaning of the duas you may recite in Makkah and Madinah. There is no need to memorise lists.

Learn a few supplications, truly. Grasp what they mean.

Leave space for your own heartfelt duas.

Let each step of your journey remind you why you are travelling. Let it bring you peace and help you focus on worship.

Why Duas are important during Ramadan Umrah

Dua deepens the meaning of your Ramadan Umrah.

When you stand in Makkah and spend time in worship, let these precious moments be a turn to Allah. Ask for forgiveness, guidance, peace and blessings for yourself. Also remember your family, friends and those in need. Ramadan makes this journey especially meaningful.

This is because fasting, prayer, Quran and dua become part of every day. As a UK pilgrim, plan your travel carefully. Do not let flights, hotels and transfers take all your attention.

Reserve moments for worship and personal supplication. This will help you feel your journey stays focused on faith and reflection.

Essential Duas to know before starting your Umrah

Before starting your Umrah, take a moment to prepare some essential duas. Do not just memorise the words. Learn the meanings and the correct pronunciation.

Focus on supplications for forgiveness, guidance, protection and blessings. Keep your duas saved on your phone or written in a small notebook.

This will let you refer to them easily. Importantly, don’t feel pressured to memorise every single word. A sincere dua made with a heart and true understanding can bring more peace and meaning to each moment of your Umrah.

Dua for entering Ihram and beginning your Umrah

Make an intention in your heart to perform Umrah. Then, enter Ihram and recite the Talbiyah:

Transliteration:
Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayka la shareeka laka labbayk. Innal-hamda wan-ni‘mata laka wal-mulk, la shareeka lak.

Meaning:
“Here I am, O Allah, here I am. You have no partner. All praise, blessings, and sovereignty belong to You.”

Understand the meaning as you recite it. Keep your heart focused on sincerity and worship. Let your heart stay true to each of these. Let your heart remain on this path.

Duas to recite while travelling to Makkah

Use your journey from the UK to Saudi Arabia as a time for dhikr, dua and reflection.

Recite the travel dua before your flight. Remember Allah during transfers and waiting times. Keep your heart connected to Him throughout every part of the trip. Let each moment be an opportunity to seek closeness to Allah.

Transliteration:
Subhanalladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqalibun.

Meaning:
“Glory be to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could not have done it ourselves. And surely, to our Lord we will return.”

Duas when entering Makkah and Masjid al-Haram

Enter Makkah with an attitude and a thankful heart. When you go into Masjid al-Haram, say the prayer for entering the mosque. Ask for dua for yourself and for the people you care about.

Transliteration:
Allahumma iftah li abwaba rahmatik.

Meaning:
“O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.”

Important Duas during Tawaf

During the seven rounds of Tawaf, you have the chance to make prayers and say reminders of God. Read real prayers that are known to be correct. There is no prayer for every single round. Do not feel like you need to remember seven different prayers.

Between the Yemeni Corner and Hajar al-Aswad, recite:

Transliteration:
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.

Meaning:
“Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”

Take your time during Tawaf. Focus on worship, not on rushing through the rounds during Tawaf.

Duas during Sa’i between Safa and Marwah

During the Sa’i think about the patience and trust that Hajar (AS) showed. She looked for water for her son Ismail (AS). At Safa and Marwah, say dhikr and personal prayers. Ask Allah for guidance, forgiveness, and blessings.

A suitable dua:

Transliteration:
Rabbi’ghfir li warhamni.

Meaning:
“My Lord, forgive me and have mercy on me.”

Keep making personal prayers during each of the seven journeys. Stay patient and focused until the Sa’i is done.

Duas after completing Umrah

After finishing Umrah, take a moment to thank Allah. Keep making dua. Ask for forgiveness, guidance, good health, blessings for your family and acceptance of your worship.

Transliteration:
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas-Sami‘ul-‘Alim.

Meaning:
“Our Lord, accept from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”

You can also say prayers in your own language. Use this time to think, express thanks and ask Allah to accept your Umrah.
